Consult the following list to help you find the right program for the type of device you wish to install and to find out the amounts to which you are entitled.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Only homeowners who have made an appointment for a pre-renovation evaluation by March 31, 2010 at the latest can receive an ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes grant (Federal). For more information, call 1 800 O-Canada or visit the website here.
The Office of Energy Efficiency's ecoENERGY-Retrofit program provides financial assistance for renovations aimed at improving the energy efficiency of a home.
A fixed amount has been established for each eligible improvement: improvements that save more energy receive higher subsidies. The maximum grant awarded to homeowners is $ 5,000. To be eligible for grants, installed appliances must be Energy Star certified, the international symbol of high energy efficiency.

Before starting your renovation project, you must call on an energy advisor certified by Natural Resources Canada who will perform an energy assessment of your home. He will give you an evaluation report before renovations and an EnerGuide label indicating the rating assigned to your house;
Then choose, among the improvements recommended in the report, those that you wish to make in the following 18 months or by March 31, 2011 (whichever comes first and subject to available funds);
Ask your energy advisor to perform the post-renovation assessment, confirm your home's new energy rating and submit your grant application;
Once the assessment after renovations has been submitted, you will not wait more than 90 days to receive your check.
